Shanghai Inn

On the last day of I stopped by my father’s favorite Chinese restaurant in Springfield, Shanghai Inn! Every time we would make a trip up to go visit him in St. Louis he would always say “Don’t forget my Shanghai!” His order was Cashew chicken with dark meat, and everything on the side.

If there’s one thing I know that I’ve learned through this whole journey, it’s what cashew chicken really means to the 417 community. Food really brings people together and sparks good memories of family, get togethers and traditions of years past and yet to come.
