The first 350 registrants will receive a pint glass and a finisher medal to not only commemorate your ride but to celebrate 100 years of Route 66!!

Capital City Century The Capital City Century is on Saturday September 19, 2026. It includes the following events: 100 Mile, 66 Mile, Gravel Option, 40 Mile, and 20 Mile.

Something BIG is happening tomorrow.

One of our favorite people is 80 year-old Byron Nesbitt. He was at the very first Capital City Century 53 years ago and is one of the original members of the Springfield Bicycle Club. In 2015, Byron moved to South Carolina but still makes the trip back to central Illinois in September to ride in the CCC. Here he is on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, SC, training for his ride. Look for Byron on the 20-mile route this Saturday!

Fuel your ride at the 2025 Capital City Century's rest stop! We'll once again be serving up pancakes and bacon in the morning, and then switch to hotdogs for the afternoon riders. And of course there will be more traditional fare like chips, bars, cookies, etc. Good food, great energy, and plenty of fun!
