You can love your baby and still struggle. I have so many moms afraid to share their struggles for fear that the take away will be they don't love their baby! You can love your baby deeply... and still struggle in postpartum.
You can feel overwhelming gratitude and still feel anxious.
You can adore their tiny fingers and still cry in the shower.
Postpartum mental health is complicated.
Love and struggle can exist in the same space.
If you're feeling irritable, numb, panicked, exhausted, disconnected, or not like yourself - that does not mean you're a bad mom. It means your nervous system has been through something big.
Birth changes your body.
Hormones shift dramatically.
Sleep disappears.
Your identity reorganizes.
Of course it's a lot.
Loving your baby has nothing to do with whether you need support.
Strong mothers ask for help.
If this is you, you are not broken.
You are adjusting.
And you deserve care too.
