Happy International Flamingo Day! There are 6 distinct species of flamingos around the world. A group of Chilean Flamingos calls DPZ their home! Chileans are originally from South America, from Ecuador and Peru to Chile and Argentina, their main habitat being lagoons and alkaline lakes.
Chilean Flamingo bills are equipped with comb like structures that enable it to filter food, mostly algea, plankton, crustaceans, insects, mollusks and other invertebrate! The more you know! 🦩
