Plants don't exactly "regenerate" at night, but cooler evening temperatures help reduce moisture loss and overall stress after trimming. That means less strain on the plant and a better opportunity to recover under milder conditions.

It's a good way to A.) check that "get the bushes trimmed" box off your list, and B.) give your shrubs the best chance to bounce back without adding extra stress from the summer heat.

Pro tip: We like to use food-grade mineral oil to lubricate hedge trimmer blades. It helps protect the blades from rust while keeping harsh chemicals away from sensitive plants. Just be sure to wipe the blades down afterward, as oil can collect dust and leave residue over time.
