An acting leader may bring deep organizational knowledge and familiarity, but they are often carrying two jobs, limited authority, and the emotional weight of keeping everyone steady.

A professional interim brings outside perspective, focused transition leadership, and experience navigating nonprofit complexity.

Neither option is automatically right or wrong.

The real question is: what does this transition actually need?

Because covering the seat is not the same as leading through change.
