I talk to people all the time who say they're "almost ready" to buy a home. Almost. They've been almost ready for two years. They're waiting until the rate drops a little more, until they save a little more, until life feels a little more settled.
I get it. Buying a home feels like a big, permanent decision and nobody wants to get it wrong.
But here's what I've watched happen over and over again. People wait, and while they wait, home prices move, their rent goes up, and the window they were trying to time closes. The "perfect moment" they were holding out for never actually showed up!
I'm not saying rush into anything. I'm saying the conversation you're putting off is probably the one that would actually tell you where you stand. Most of the time, people are a lot closer than they think.
