👋🏻 Hey there, friends. It’s me: 𝓐𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓪!

Less than 3 years ago, I took the plunge & created LCP. My goal was simple: to give God glory & be inspired as I captured love & life around me & that’s exactly what this adventure’s brought! It’s stretched me in ways beyond belief & taught me that I need to be a whole lot nicer to myself (especially in my mind).

🙌🏻 I’m a Christian, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, alone, & every day reminds me that if I depend on my own works to secure my fate, I’d be a goner, without hope.

🏡 I’m a wife to Jessee & mom to 4 (some grown & some almost grown) kids & I now have a DIL & beautiful grandbaby, Lilly!

🦷 I graduated from MSSU in Dental Hygiene in 2004 & work very PT as a temp in the field. I can teach you how to have healthy, pink gums for your portraits & your health & if you have something in your teeth, I’ll always tell you! (cause I’d die if you didn’t tell me during my portraits!)

🛠️ We’ve owned a transmission & auto repair shop in Marshfield, MO since 2009. Although my work there is typically behind the scenes, we’ve learned so much about running a business & serving our community well & I apply that with LCP! Our reputation has built our business & it’s okay that not everyone’s our customer. God takes care of all the things & we’re so thankful!

👉🏻In my personal life, I loathe small talk, big crowds, and anything that feels unsafe, but I love capturing weddings! I’m a rule follower by nature & always want everyone around me to feel included & often run from those that are the opposite. I’m a picky eater & I hate it. 🥴

📚 I give back by teaching photography at our co-op & I serve as a photographer at & & I’m so thankful they keep me around!

I scrolled through my camera roll today, past all kinds of portraits I’ve taken & not shared, & these few stopped me in my tracks.

What an honor it is to spend time with each of your families: to witness your own spin on life together, to absorb your laughter, & to witness all the love between you. And there’s a special bond between moms & daughters that’s inspiring. This teen was gentle & kind, silly & playful with her mama on this day & it was sweet nourishment for my soul!

I think as moms, we’re often trying to organize & execute so many things & we often put off family portraits. We wanna lose weight. We need to shop for outfits. Our kids kinda hate us at the moment. You know… all of it together can feel a bit overwhelming. But, we have to remember that this 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 moment is a gift & you’ll never relive it in the same way, so don’t put off prioritizing recording it. And it can truly be enjoyable; I’m here to help make it an experience that feels like a fun-filled family night!
