Ready for café vibes at home? The Chemex makes it super easy! Here’s how to brew a delicious cup: using our Costa Rica single origin coffee for that super clean, vibrant flavor.

1️⃣ Boil your water (195-205°F is perfect).
2️⃣ Place a Chemex filter, rinse with hot water, and add freshly ground Costa Rica beans (medium-coarse grind, about 1:16 coffee to water ratio).
3️⃣ Pour a little hot water in a spiral over the grounds to "bloom" for 30 seconds, letting flavors open up.
4️⃣ Slowly add the rest of the water in circles, sip and watch as it filters through. Done in about 3-4 minutes!

That’s it: simple, smooth, totally doable. Tag us with your Chemex creations, and enjoy your best homemade brew! ☕️

Meet the family! Sometimes it's fun to know who's behind a small business. We are the Irwin family! Eric runs most of the day to day operations at the roastery, plus running all over the place to take care of our other two (Orion) locations. Sharayah (The Mom) does social media, hiring, and scheduling. Our three coffee gremlins (5, 3, and 8 months) run around, make messes, and ensure Eric has plenty of artwork to display around his desk. Eric and Sharayah met while both serving in the Army and eventually ended up in Ohio where Sharayah is from. Running a small business while balancing family life is always challenging, but we're thankful for the opportunity 💙 that's us!

We're having a great time at the each Saturday! Besides coffee beans/loose leaf tea/brewing equipment, we're also bringing some of our coffee bean bags! These can be used for sooo many projects, but here's one we've done at our house- a milk crate planter! The burlap looks great and allows for good drainage while keeping the dirt where it belongs. All you need is a milk crate, potting soil, and a lovely coffee bean bag!

(Tip- I put some rocks and an old clay pot- upside down- in the crate so I didn't need so much soil for these little flowers)
