A little real talk on why I moved away from microblading ⤵️

This client originally had microblading done by me about a year ago. At first, everything looked great, good color, nice strokes. But over time, you can see what tends to happen with microblading…

• Uneven fading
• Stroke migration (they blur together)
• Loss of shape
• Color shifting cool/ashy

Microblading uses a blade that creates larger, more open cuts in the skin. That can mean more trauma and less controlled pigment placement, which often leads to less stable results long term.

For her annual refresh, I corrected everything using machine work (powder brow), and you can see how much more defined and even the result is.

Now, this doesn’t mean bold brows are your only option! If you love a soft, natural look, nano brows are my go to. They’re still natural, but tend to heal and age much better in the skin.

No matter what technique you choose, all PMU fades over time. The goal is choosing a method that fades well.
