Many of us began choosing our stones by spotting the sparkly ones or the funny shaped ones while walking a creek bed, along the road, or digging in the neighbors landscaping. Now we’re encouraged to not only know the meaning and powers of gemstones but to choose the shape according to how we plan to use it. For instance, towers are commonly used for energy cleansing and spiritual healing. Their shape allows for the energy to be focused to a certain area. Pyramids stabilize the energies of the earth while enhancing and projecting energies out the apex. Pyramids work well when placed around the home. Heart shapes represent love and connect with the energy of our Heart Chakra. They help to attract love or a new relationship as well as heal the heart and emotional wounds.
Those shaped like Angels anchor angelic energies, helping you connect with different angels or your guardian angels.

I certainly have some of these shaped stones in my collection and I admit I chose most of them because I liked the way they looked. But…. Did I like the way they looked because of the powers they were admitting or because they sparkled or had a funny shape?
