The Army Full Honors Wreath-Laying Ceremony in honor of the Army’s 251st birthday will take place at 9 a.m. today at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

This summer, a new generation is stepping up to serve those who served us. The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks’ SERVE Program — Students Volunteering for Veterans — is officially underway! Through this youth volunteer program, local teens are gaining valuable leadership skills, exploring future career paths, and making meaningful connections with Veteran patients.

• Enriching personal and professional growth
• Rewarding opportunities that make a difference
• Volunteering to give back
• Expanding horizons through new experiences

From providing companionship and support to assisting with events and administrative projects, these young volunteers are helping create a welcoming environment for Veterans while learning lessons that will last a lifetime.
