Lodge Life 🐝 The formal living space on our lodge project was intended to be a showcase for my clients collection of important western art, antiques, love of all things natural and their global travels with tons of texture and cozy seating by our custom fireplace with bespoke screen from our favorite iron smith. We layered in lush jewel tones from the custom STARK Carpet to the shearling covered chairs and custom fireplace where I had a massive boulder brought in by a crane to create the perfect hearth. Being part American Indian myself I love adding unexpected historical elements such as the authentic headdress who I worked closely with the Cheyenne tribe to procure with their blessings. The back drop over the fireplace is a large piece of tree bark I sourced from a lumber mill in Oregon. Lots of layers and details in true GDG style.
