In honor of National Piña Colada Day coming up in a few days, we figured we should look back to where one our favorite drinks at Mpact started…

Many believe Ramon “Monchito” Marrero was a Puerto Rican bartender at the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and in 1954 he was asked to create a cocktail that captured the essence of the Puerto Rican island. After 3 months of perfecting this drink, it became a favorite among the locals, and Marrero served it the rest of his 35 year long career. 🍍🥥🌴🍹
