A book I’m currently working on with Taylor Peek is a narrative story about the moon phases. We want the reader to be aware it’s a silly story that introduces moon phases but we do not want to give away so much of the book that it is not worth reading.

Below are EARLY SKETCHES, these are NOT the final covers. Just us bouncing ideas to share.

Option 1 we felt informs the reader it is a story and of the main problem.

Option 1a has a secondary character but we worried he would give too much away and were considering putting him on end pages or not at all.

Option 2 is more dramatic and cinematic BUT we were thinking it does not tell the reader it is narrative, silly, and doesn’t set it apart from all the other Moon Phase books.
