11 years ago I had just reached the title of Sensei and I took off over seas for the first time in my life. I planned on going alone until one of my closest friends Mostafa jumped on the plane with me last minute.

We went to China and Thailand for my first martial arts pilgrimage to start my journey to becoming a master one day. I was only 23 years old and had never traveled so far without my parents or family. This trip was a monumental experience and turning point in my life.

I learned that all my childhood dreams could be achieved if I burned the boats in the areas of my life that didn’t really matte or help me get closer to what I was working for. I cut out almost everything out of my life that didn’t get me to

The seed of HOD was planted during this time when I was 23 years of age, the Michael Jordan year I called it. I bought my first rental property by myself, became sensei, and took off across the world to train like Batman.
