Honoring the profound and lasting impact of the art educator — the one whose hands not only guide technique, but also nurture vision. Each brushstroke becomes a metaphor for mentorship, for the transfer of creative courage and the cultivation of purpose within the next generation of artists.

For the Black male artist and teacher, this role carries a deeper resonance. It is an act of visibility, of representation, and of reclamation — standing as both creator and cultivator in spaces where art becomes a language of empowerment and healing. His hands shape visions born from history, identity, and resilience, leaving marks that extend far beyond the canvas. This exhibition celebrates those brushstrokes of influence — the ones that build bridges between artistry, education, and legacy.
