If you’re going to have any exterior work done to your home that involes a component of your roof; make sure they’re an experienced roofer, not just a handyman.

One of my customers called me after getting water in her home due to a leak coming from the roof. It turned out that another company she hired had removed the gutters while painting siding and installed them back incorrectly; Lifting the edge of the roof and stopping water flow into the gutters.
