A bathroom renovation looks simple… until you realize how many decisions are involved.

Most bathrooms require 40–75+ decisions—and that’s before demo even starts. Here are a few of the big ones that shape the entire project:

1) Layout + function
Keep plumbing where it is—or move it? This choice drives cost, timeline, and how the bathroom works every day.

2) Shower vs. tub
Walk-in shower, tub, or both? Build around your routine now—and what you’ll want long-term.

3) Finishes + fixtures
Tile, grout, counters, fixtures—what’s worth upgrading? Choose materials that look great and hold up to water, humidity, and daily use.

4) Storage + lighting
Smart storage + great lighting is what makes a bathroom feel custom (and prevents regrets).

The difference between a stressful renovation and a smooth one usually comes down to one thing: a clear plan and consistent communication. That’s what we’re known for.

When you work with us you not only get an organized team, but we also partner with the best design and architect partners. (They are all not the same, trust me, I’m picky!)

The Cool Breeze renovation was a true “take it all the way” project—north of $1M invested to transform this home into something completely custom.

From the big-picture layout decisions to the smallest finish details, every inch was designed to feel intentional, elevated, and built to last. This is what luxury renovation looks like when the goal isn’t just “new”… it’s timeless, functional, and one-of-a-kind.

If you love seeing the behind-the-scenes details, comment COOL BREEZE and I’ll share more of what went into this build with our recent blog.

Kitchen renovation budgets can feel all over the place, so here’s a simple way to think about it: you’re not just paying for “pretty finishes.” You’re paying for planning, coordination, protection of your home, and skilled labor.

Typical kitchen renovation investment tiers (Houston area ranges vary by scope):

1) Refresh (keep layout, minimal changes): often starts around $50k - $75k
2) Mid-level remodel (some layout + upgraded finishes): $75k-$120k
3) Full custom / high-complexity (layout changes, structural, custom cabinetry, premium appliances): $150k+
4) Ultra custom (architectural changes, specialty materials, full first-floor integration): $250k+

What actually moves the price:

Appliances: $8K–$30K+ (package choices change this fast)
Countertops: $5K–$18K+ (material + edge detail + slab count)
Cabinetry: $30K–$80K+ (semi-custom vs fully custom, inserts, paint grade)
Flooring: $5K–$20K+ (demo, leveling, material, install)
Tile + backsplash: $3K–$12K+ (tile type, pattern, grout, prep)
Lighting: $2K–$15K+ (can lights, pendants, undercabinet, controls)
Plumbing fixtures: $3K–$8K+ (faucet, pot filler, filtration, etc.)
Framing/structural: varies (openings, beams, moving walls)
Labor: demo, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, trim, install
Permits + inspections: varies by municipality and scope
Dumpster + haul-off: typically included but it’s a real cost
Jobsite protection + cleanliness: floor coverings, dust control, HEPA air scrubbers, daily cleanup
Project management + oversight: scheduling, trade coordination, quality control, daily updates
Insurance + overhead: liability coverage, supervision, systems, warranty support
Temporary facilities: port-o-potty if needed (especially if bathrooms are impacted)

If you want, comment “KITCHEN” and we’ll send a simple budget worksheet that helps you map your wish list into a realistic range before you ever request bids.
