Myth Buster!: derma-planing will make my hair grow back thicker. FALSE! The razors sold in the stores are much more blunt and will make it ‘feel’ as if the hair is now thicker when growing because the hair’s natural finer end has been cut bluntly.

With a scalpel, the hair and fine layer of skin cells are being cut with a much finer blade. So the ‘feel’ is not as blunt. It makes a difference! Either way, the hair folicle itself is not stimulated in any way to grow more and the hair shaft is not any thicker than it was originally. It’s the ‘feel’ of hair growing back that gives this myth its beginning….😉😁
