Many aging people in our population develop this:

Kyphosis...Kyphosis refers to an exaggerated, forward rounding of the back. It is often related to age-related changes in the spine, but it can also be due to underlying conditions such as osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease, or from developmental problems during childhood. Severe kyphosis can cause pain and be functionally disabling.

This can be avoided or minimalized with regular exercise, specifically, strength training, stretching, and a general awareness of body posture.
