We would like to welcome Stephen Clark EMT-P to Spring Hill EMS as our new ALS Supervisor. Stephen, a former member of Spring Hill, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. He has previously served as a paramedic with Rockland Paramedic Services and Stamford EMS where he was a Supervisor and Shift Commander. His experience includes critical care transports, field supervision and scheduling, field training, QA/QI, and incident management. As well he is a certified AHA instructor for BLS, ACLS, and PALS. His passion for EMS is exceptional.
Stephen is joining our rapidly developing Spring Hill ALS division. Currently our program provides primary ALS coverage for the Village of Spring Valley and parts of the Towns of Ramapo and Clarkstown at night, with supplemental coverage by day. We are proud to be an agency on the cusp of innovation. Our paramedics are skilled in emergent advanced life support including hemodynamic monitoring and management, medication administration, airway and ventilator management with medics trained and qualified to perform Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI), etc. We pride ourselves on upholding a standard of providing a high level of care in an efficient and timely manner for increased positive outcomes.
If you are interested in joining an agency focused on growth and development, and providing the best possible care 100% of the time then consider applying to Spring Hill EMS. We currently have options for paramedics to join us as volunteers or paid staff. You can apply today at springhillems.org/join-us.

Earlier this evening, Spring Hill West responded on a mutual aid request to Ringwood NJ for a patient experiencing chest pain.
Upon arrival, crews found the patient in cardiac arrest. CPR had already been initiated immediately by the Ringwood Police Department, who also promptly applied an AED. Just moments after Spring Hill West arrived, crews delivered additional shocks, successfully restoring the patient’s pulse.
Shortly thereafter, the patient went back into cardiac arrest. Our crew continued aggressive resuscitative efforts, delivering an additional three shocks and once again achieving return of spontaneous circulation.
With the closest paramedic approximately 20 minutes away, Ringwood Police requested a medical helicopter. The patient was transported to the designated landing zone, where care was transferred to the Hackensack Air Medical team for rapid transport to an area hospital.
This call is a testament to the importance of immediate bystander intervention, high-quality CPR, rapid AED deployment, and the seamless teamwork between Ringwood Police Department, Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps, and Hackensack Air Medical. Every second matters in cardiac arrest, and tonight’s outcome was made possible through the outstanding efforts of everyone involved.
