***Death Investigation***

At approximately 6:30am on Tuesday July 14, 2026 Spring Lake Police responded to the 1600 block of Lillington Hwy for a report of a body which was found on the side of the roadway. After an exhaustive investigation, the identity of the deceased person was discovered as being Cordarryl Richmond, 30 years old, from Harnett County. Mr. Richmond was not affiliated with the US Military.

This incident is under further investigation. Additional details may be released at a later time. North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
