What makes paint glossy and why does it dull overtime? Here are some facts that will help you maintain the look of your ride!

Paint is a relatively soft material made to be flexible enough to have some give, but a clearcoat tough enough to absorb abrasions before removing paint. Overtime the clearcoat will show some wear. Whether that be swirls from improper wash methods/care, etching from things like bugs/harsh chemicals, or oxidation/yellowing from being primarily parked outside.

It's crucial that before we protect your vehicle that we really comb through your vehicle before we lay on our Ceramic Protection. This involves services like Paint-Corrections to resolve those swirls or even oxidation.. This will remove old/worn clearcoat layers to greatly restore the gloss and leveling the paint to ensure a consistent and durable bond to the Ceramic Coating on top.

Our SystemX Ceramic Protection will help absorb minor scratches, enhance the gloss of your paint, repel chemicals/bugs from etching into your paint, and protect your paint from UV damage, preserving the gloss for many years to come.
