I woke up to THE most incredible news! I couldn't stop the tears! There is now a weapon to fight the horrendous disease that is destroying the breed I love, HCM! As a breeder it is the scariest, thing..not having that marker. Pharoah's Pride like all ethical Sphynx breeders, has always scanned our cats yearly for this dreaded, deadly disease, and will continue to do so. We travel severel times a year across the State, to have our cats scanned by a certified Cardiologist. Now thanks to the insane effort and dedication of Dr Kate Meurs, and many others, we have a MARKER. We will be able to test! I kissed my Queens and seriously can not stop crying.
