Ride Every Step

Yesterday was Jolie's last day at the barn during her summer break from college. She spent her break helping me out and continuing her equine education. I started her at the age of eleven. She continued her lessons til last year as she went off to school.

She was great help for me and I will truly miss her! She brightened my day and everyone she met! 😊

She rode Spirit in her last few years of lessons. He taught her a great deal! Yesterday we decided to play with some obstacles. He hadn't done obstacles in quite a few years...we worked on a lot of things yesterday while playing with the obstacle!

I love the look on her face as well as the look on Spirit's face!! This photo tells everyone how well things went for both Jolie and Spirit!!

She plans on coming back in November!😊🐴

An opportunity came up this afternoon with a horse that couldn't be caught to come back into the barn. It allowed me to show a student how to help a horse to want to be caught...from the horse's point of view! The horse was very concerned every time I tried to approach her..she knew all the human tricks, such as treats, grain and etc., and was clearly not interested in any of them...it was a great success to help her want to be caught! 😃
