Florida Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday
The Freedom Month sales tax holiday begins in Florida on July 1, 2024 and is scheduled to take place through July 31, 2024. More details regarding this holiday, as well as all applicable thresholds, can be found on the Florida Department of Revenue Website in Tax Information Publication -05.

During this sales tax holiday period tax is not due on the retail sale of admissions to music events, sporting events, cultural events, specified performances, movies, museums, state parks, and fitness facilities. Also exempt from sales tax during this holiday period are electric scooters, eligible boating, and water activity supplies, camping supplies, fishing supplies, general outdoor supplies, and residential pool supplies.

The 2024 Florida Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday does not apply to rentals of any eligible items, or to sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment, or airport.

Back to School Sales Tax Holiday
Florida’s Back to School sales tax holiday will begin on July 29th and run through August 11th. During this period, no sales tax or local option tax will be collected on the purchases of clothing, footwear, and certain accessories with a sales price of $100 or less per item, certain school supplies with a sales price of $50 or less per item, learning aids and jigsaw puzzles with a sales price of $30 or less per item, and sales of personal computers and certain computer-related accessories with a sales price of $1500 or less when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
