This is amazing! My family loves this series so far!
Return to the cozy fantasy world of the #1 New York Times bestselling LEGENDS & LATTES series with a new adventure featuring fan-favorite, foul-mouthed bookseller Fern. We are thrilled to bring Travis Baldree back to Auntie’s to launch his new novel, BRIGANDS & BREADKNIVES. Come celebrate with us on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:00pm!
About the book:
Fern has weathered the stillness and storms of a bookseller’s life for decades, but now, in the face of crippling ennui, transplants herself to the city of Thune to hang out her shingle beside a long-absent friend’s coffee shop. What could be a better pairing? Surely a charming renovation montage will cure what ails her!
If only things were so simple…
It turns out that fixing your life isn’t a one-time prospect, nor as easy as a change of scenery and a lick of paint.
A drunken and desperate night sees the rattkin waking far from home in the company of a legendary warrior, an imprisoned chaos-goblin with a fondness for silverware, and an absolutely thumping hangover.
As together they fend off a rogue’s gallery of ne’er-do-wells trying to claim the bounty the goblin represents, Fern may finally reconnect with the person she actually is when nothing seems inevitable.

Boy, are we lucky that Lora Senf lives right here in Spokane AND she just released a prequel to her incredible Blight Harbor series! We’re delighted to bring the Bram Stoker Award-winning author back to Auntie’s in celebration of PENNIES. One hundred years prior to the events of THE CLACKITY, four best friends are drawn into a deadly scheme when they set out to investigate the strange disappearances taking place in the eerie town of Blight Harbor in this “outstanding” (BCCB, starred review) middle grade adventure. Whether you’re picking up the latest book or just starting your journey with this series, we hope you’ll stop by and chat with Lora this Saturday afternoon. These are perfect reads for spooky season, too!

Finally got to visit this little book cafe last week, and it is amazing. Great vibes, lots of amazing books, and they even did a big launch event for Dungeon Crawler Carl book 7! Unfortunately I missed it, but it still deserves a mention 😁

I've written 5000 new words in the last week. Ken from ten years ago would have scoffed and called me lazy because he was determined to hit 2000 words a day. However, after lockdown and depression and family deaths and sicknesses, after not writing for so, so long... 5000 words in a week feels like such a victory. I love writing. I have always loved writing, and being back at it feels like being home.
I'm excited about the new story and new characters and all that, but I'm mostly excited to be doing what I love again.
Here's a photo of our late kitty, Milo, and his good friend, the spooky PeeWee doll I use to terrify the teenagers in my house.
