Dishman Hills Conservancy

Yesterday we hosted a warm morning “Forest and the Trees” hike at our Glenrose property. Thank you to Marya for volunteering to lead this hike and to the amazing group that made this an especially enjoyable, informative, and fun walk!

We even had a surprise moose sighting (He moved too quick for a good photo)!

Kids in the lab was a huge success! The kids learned all about the history of microscopes, how they work, and how to properly use them! They got to look at all kinds of specimens up close from murky lake water to yeast cells. Thank you to Lisa and Mo for teaching these kids fantastic science and all of the other volunteers that made this event possible. We hope to do it again soon!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Ruth’s “Two for Tuesday” hike yesterday. It was a great afternoon hike as we chose a shady out-and-back route and took a few stops to learn more about the nature around us. 🌿🌲🌱
