The American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and The QPR Institute are proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Paul G. Quinnett Lived Experience Writing Competition:

• 1st Place: Alec Williams – "The Ghost I Became"
• 2nd Place: Caitlin Ruzycky – "Unbroken: Rising from Trauma and Finding Purpose"
• 3rd Place: Bethany Lemons – "Sunrises and Sunflowers"

These compelling narratives of survival and hope will be honored at AAS25, our 58th Annual Conference, in Columbus, Ohio, on April 2, 2025. We commend Alec, Caitlin, and Bethany for sharing their experiences to inspire others.

Hello QPR Family!

We had the honor of attending and presenting at this past week. While there, we were able to connect with certified instructors and reconnect with veteran instructors, who are wonderful reminders of how important our work is.

Our National Training Director, Shayna Klassen, presented QPR Institute's newest training opportunity, QPR Pathfinder, and shared her personal experience with and suicidality. We are humbled and grateful that our presentations received exceedingly positive feedback and support from attendees.

Additionally, our presence at allowed us the opportunity to train an incredibly talented group of new instructors from all over the nation. We are extremely excited to have them as our newest members of the . We look forward to bringing QPR to more conferences in the near future, and we hope to see you all there!
