A little story of my kind of “trail magic” ✨

A few nights ago I had just finished the challenging climb up to the same mountain that inspired this painting when I got a notification — the painting had sold. From the cozy fire lookout perched upon the peak, I peered out the window to see the exact section of trail featured just below me… it felt kismet ✨

Every time a painting finds a home, it is special… but this one certainly had a little extra pizazz for me as I was yet again gathering inspiration on this particular peak. As we head back down the trail the next morning, we captured a quick video… The trail looks a little bit different this time of year (featured: a lovely wall of snow 😋) but its beauty truly never falters in my eyes.

Now it’s time to bid farewell to this warm and wonderful moment along the trail as it heads off to my collector in Ketchum, Idaho. My gratitude is endless …. Both for the magic of the moment on top of this mountain and for those who find joy and light in my work 🧡
