Pioneer Stock Farms, aka Bryan Jones' farm, is a special place. I've been visiting the farm for 13 years now and have witnessed the creek's rejuvenation and learned a lot about all the hard work that goes into maintaining a small family farm, and the extra work it takes to maintain it with a conservation ethic. Bryan has always been committed and brave. He was one of the first wheat growers to step out publicly in support of dialogue with fishermen, to begin exploring common ground solutions to preserve both farming and fishing traditions, to explore options for removing the lower Snake River dams and keeping wheat going to market and salmon/steelhead in the river. Stay tuned on ways to help. Hope people can come together to support keeping this farm small, and ultimately turned into a conservation area.
