Senior season kicks off this week for me and I am PUMPED to meet a whole new crew of seniors and their families! So I decided I should introduce myself…

My name is Jenna Starr, hence STARR images. I have loved photography for as far back as I can remember. I had a tiny hot pink 110mm key chain camera when I was a kid and I took it allllll over the country on my family’s massive road trips. It went from Disneyland to Mt Rushmore to the White House to the Grand Canyon and everywhere inbetween. My dad and I used to dream up ideas on how I could support myself as a budding photographer straight out of college. I didn’t trust any of our plans so got my degree in teaching. I taught 2nd & 3rd grade for 6 years and LOVED it! But then my husband and I had our first baby so I quit teaching to be a mom. But photography ran DEEP and blossomed in a whole new way once I had a baby of my own to take pics of! And then my family and friends asked if I could take pics of their babies too. And before I knew it, I had a little business.

That was 16 years ago and I still love it more than I ever imagined I could💕Thank you for being here… I know Spokane has a lot of amazing photographers and I feel so honored every time someone chooses me 📸

Cannot wait to meet the 2027 senior class!!!

Michele 💕My beautiful friend went to heaven one week ago today. We forced this shoot to happen back in October after she had already fought breast cancer HARD for over a year and a half. For the second time. Gosh she battled. She did everything a person could possibly do to kill cancer… from medical to homeopathic to even kinda “out there”. She was open to anything that would let her stay with her 4 guys a second longer. I felt so honored to watch her TRY to live. She knew how blessed she was by these guys and just wanted more of it.

your mom loved your conversations and the way you invited her into your life. You made her feel important and needed.❤️ your mom felt so protected by you and comforted by your presence. You made her feel safe and loved.❤️ your mom was inspired by your faith and loved watching you put Jesus first. You made her feel hopeful and helped her remember heaven is better. ❤️ (BJ) she told me more times than I can count that you were her rock. Everyone that had the privilege of watching you care for her is changed for the better. You really made her feel loved and cherished to her core.❤️

I will sure miss my friend. But knowing how full her life was with these guys and picturing her breathing easily, laughing, and watching her boys do all the amazing things they will do makes me smile. This last pic is the crazy that will continue in the Compau home and I can hear Michele’s giggle watching them. Love you Michele and I’m so grateful for every memory with you. 🙏🏼
