We will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Parish tomorrow, May 9th at noon, and we’d love to sing with you! We will be joined by a speaker from Mutual Aid Survival Squad to hear about their good work in the community and learn about how we can get involved. We will also sing at Say It Saturday in the afternoon. Join us for one or both events! We look forward to singing with you!

Thank you to the singers who came out to cheer on Bloomsday runners! We joined the Spokane Handmaid Brigade and raised awareness and lifted spirits together. Great work, Bloomies! Run and resist!
Next up for us: Saturday, May 9th we will meet at St. Ann’s Parish in East Central to share songs and hear from Mutual Aid Survival Squad about their work! We will also be at B.A. Clark Park on May 9th for Say it Saturday. Join us!

Join Singing Resistance Spokane and The Handmaid Brigade to sing & cheer the runners cresting Doomsday Hill!
We are meeting at A. M. Cannon playground park on the curve at Pettit Drive on Sunday, May 3rd.
8:00AM : Set up if you can make it
9:00AM-12:00PM: come for whatever time you can during this block. The singers will intermittently sing throughout.
Make sure and reroute your gps to come from the north side so that you can avoid the parade route.
Please bring a chair, snacks and water, as well as bubble blower or noise makers to add good vibes and energy for the runners.
And don’t forget to wear your shirt if you have one!
Just look for the Handmaids in red if you get turned around!
*if anyone has a jbl speaker or a blue tooth microphone and can bring it for our sound system please let us know! *

At this gathering, we will:
*Sing for peace
*Learn new and review songs in support of our LGBTQIA+ community in preparation for Pride
*Hear from a local community organization about their justice work
*Connect in community and song
As always, you are welcome whether you have sung with us before or this is your first time. We sing for collective liberation, justice, and peace. We prepare you to take songs into action in events we organize together or in your own community and activism. We hope you can join us!

Our table at No Kings!
Thanks to all of you who came out Sat! Cookie and friends, Pat, Margie, Mary Ellen, Kirsten, Maggie, Margie, Christine, Angie, and everyone else. . . We got people singing. It was beautiful!
