K2 Landscaping

Recently completed SpokaneScape Project. Designed by Landscape Architect Cathy Spokas, as part of Spokane’s Designer at Your Door program.

This yard is filled with self-seeders including Salvia x sylvestris, solidago canadensis, nepeta x faassenii, echinacea purpurea and spreaders like phlox subulata and zauschneria. Anchoring the space is arctostaphylos uva-ursi, juniperus horizontalis, and philadelphus coronarius.

I’m excited to see the growth this first season and into the next few years. The side yard leaves lots of opportunity for a future shrub row for more privacy and to bring more pollinators and birds to the yard.

Reused the old keystone retaining wall blocks (used as steps) for two brutalist style raised beds.
