Optimize Learning
07/26/2025
As with most challenges people face there is much more than the eye can see below the surface. Similar to an iceberg, there is a mountain of challenges that someone with dyslexia fights with everyday, the biggest one, imo, is low self-esteem/self-worth. By age 5 or 6 these kids are aware that they cannot do what their peers can do when it comes to reading and writing. As the years pass and these kids do not get the intervention that they need, they feel dumb, incapable, and less than their peers. This can be prevented with early diagnosis and early intervention!! No excuses! Our education system needs to do better at acknowledging dyslexia, screening, and intervening!!!
Dyslexia impacts more than reading. It can affect spelling, writing, memory, self-esteem, and even how someone processes spoken language.
That’s why tutoring alone isn’t enough.
At Sound Mind Learning, we provide specialized support tailored to how the brain learns. Our programs help strengthen skills and build confidence — because students with dyslexia need more than drills and one-size-fits-all methods. They need to feel understood, capable, and empowered.
That’s what makes us different. 🤍
