Dworshak Reservoir Produces New Idaho Record Rainbow Trout

The State of Idaho’s new record rainbow trout was recently caught in a local reservoir.

Todd Phillips of Fruitland caught the hog in Dworshak Reservoir on January 13th. The chinook salmon sized rainbow weighed just over 20 pounds and was 33 and a half inches long. Idaho Fish & Game reports that the fish barely broke the old state rainbow record.
