All Things New

Had to share a few of the antique/repurposed gems I saw around Waco. Have regret that I’d didn’t purchase a marmalade jar and French stoneware pot at - I was worried they wouldn’t fit - (jokes on me I’m picking up a box today to check on my flight anyway). I wonder if they ship? 😏 Sadly, Laverty’s was closed. Today I’m heading to Round Top and Junk Gypsy - they’re a great excuse to see a bit of Texas Hill Country.

New Year, new things happening! I have some MAJOR lifts changes happening for myself and my family, including returning full time to my former career in ministry. This means the 7 year journey God took me into the business of decorative arts is coming to a close. I will continue my love for painting, DIYing, and decorative expression in my home as it once started: as a creative outlet. (You will see that shift in these squares soon, I’m sure.) It’s very bittersweet- I have enjoyed my time in each of the beautiful stores I’ve been in, have met so many talented, hard working, creative and kind people. I’ve taken risks and chances I never would have taken, and I’m so much better for it. God opened doors for me to I’ve explore a whole side of myself I didn’t even know I had in me, and it has made me me more confident in myself and my ability to try and learn new things.
