Barry Fresh Designs
A sign has one job.
To help the right people find you, remember you, and trust you.
The businesses featured here all had different goals.
Some needed to stand out at community events. Others wanted to make a strong first impression at their office, advertise available office space, attract attention from passing traffic, or simply make it easier for customers to find them.
Different signs.
Different purposes.
The one thing they all have in common? They're working even when the business owner isn't.
Great signage doesn't just display your logo. It helps your business get noticed, reinforces your brand, and creates confidence.
Show up like it matters. Because it does.
What sign is working hardest for your business right now?
(Every sign featured was designed for an actual Barry Fresh Designs client. The surrounding environments are digital mockups created to help visualize the finished product in a real-world setting.)

When Alisha came to me, she didn't just need a logo—she needed a complete visual foundation for her business. Starting entirely from the ground up with no prior branding, her goal was clear: she wanted an identity that would immediately convey trust, deep professionalism, and a modern luxury aesthetic, while remaining completely approachable to her clients.
Take a look inside the design process and the meaning behind Alisha’s new logo.
The Logo Rationale & Meaning:
The Apex Insurance Group logo was designed to embody the brand’s core promise: providing confidence, clarity, and protection through every stage of life. The custom icon integrates a mountain silhouette within the letterform, creating a unique visual asset that directly reflects the meaning of Apex—the highest point or summit.
This symbolism reinforces the brand’s position as a knowledgeable guide and trusted advisor, while the strong geometric construction conveys reliability, stability, and strength. The upward movement of the mark subtly represents progress and aspiration, reflecting Apex’s commitment to helping clients navigate important decisions with certainty and peace of mind.
Targeted Strategy & Aesthetic:
The overall look was engineered to be exceptionally clean, bold, modern, confident, and neutral. Every element was intentionally designed to resonate with a brand voice rooted in trust, guidance, and reliability. It is designed to be perceived as knowledgeable, approachable, and highly dependable - positioning the company as a trusted resource for responsible adults in their 30s, growing families, established business owners, and individuals who own recreational vehicles and require elite asset protection.
The Color Psychology:
The Apex Insurance Group color palette was intentionally selected to reflect the values at the core of the business: trust, security, professionalism, and confidence.
The Rich Blue Tones: Symbolize reliability, integrity, and stability, helping to establish credibility and foster a sense of reassurance among clients navigating important insurance decisions.
Charcoal: Introduces sophistication, strength, and professionalism, creating a polished and modern appearance that speaks to both families and business owners alike.
Together, these colors create a brand identity that feels established yet approachable—projecting confidence while reinforcing Apex Insurance Group’s role as a trusted guide through life’s uncertainties.
Typography & Style:
A luxury brand relies heavily on space and structure. Paired with clean, modern typography, the logo balances professionalism with approachability, resulting in a distinctive and memorable identity that reflects expertise, trust, and long-term partnership across every brand touchpoint.
Whether it is displayed as a clean badge layout or a standalone icon, this system gives Alisha a versatile, polished toolset to grow her business across multiple states.

Today, Jason and I celebrate 14 years of marriage. ❤️
Looking back at our wedding photo, it's easy to remember the excitement of that day (even if it was a blur).
But what I'm most grateful for isn't the wedding.
It's everything that's happened since.
Fourteen years of showing up for each other. Through the exciting moments, the challenging ones, and all the ordinary moments in between.
It reminds me of something I often talk about with my clients.
Whether you're building a marriage or building a business, success rarely comes from one big moment.
It's built through consistency.
The promises you keep.
The trust you earn.
The way you show up, day after day.
That's true in relationships, and it's true in branding.
A logo can make a great first impression, but it's the consistent experience you create that keeps people coming back and confidently recommending you to others.
I'm incredibly thankful for the life Jason and I have built together, and for the opportunity to help other businesses build brands that reflect who they are and where they're headed.
Here's to 14 years—and to continuing to show up like it matters. Because it does. ❤️

One of the most rewarding parts of this job is getting to create pieces that hold real meaning and become part of a family’s history.
Amy Carlson recently reached out to me with an inspiration photo and a major milestone to celebrate: her family's 20th annual reunion. She had a clear vision for the theme, so we took that initial concept and recreated the entire custom crest design completely from scratch. We tailored it with specific modifications to make sure every single icon perfectly represented their favorite family memories and adventures.
Seeing it go from a digital sketch to the final, finished print was incredibly satisfying!
The absolute best part? Seeing the final group shot of the Carlson family wearing their custom shirts together for the big photo.
Branded apparel isn't just for businesses—it's for milestones, traditions, and capturing a moment in time. Thank you to Amy and the entire Carlson crew for trusting Barry Fresh Designs to help them show up like it matters for their 20th anniversary!
