UPDATE 🚨
Life is full of colors but sometimes they mix and become murky.
The vibrant blue sky at the start of your day eventually fades to grey and yellow and orange.
You’re faced with a challenge and sometimes that makes you unhappy.
But by focusing on yourself, you’re able to filter out the outside noise.
Your life becomes filled with vibrant colors once more.

My very short two year TV reporter journey across two vastly different markets has come with ups and done and I’m announcing that today, Valentine’s day, is my last day at 7NEWS.
I’ve become a humbler person, a less ignorant citizen and a better story-teller from when I first started as a one-man-band tv journalist in Moline, Illinois.

I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given as a Chinese-born American to represent both Asian Americans and my small-hometown of Derwood, MD on TV. I’m proud to represent those who live with Tourette’s Syndrome and show them there is a path for them to be on TV even if they “twitch”.
Most importantly, I want to thank the hundreds of people whose stories I’ve had the privilege of telling to an audience of millions.

I am excited to now be pursuing a career in healthcare as a future pediatric oncology nurse practitioner and starting my next years-long journey from the bottom once more as a student.

Thank you to my dad, my mom, my sister, my friends and my fellow coworkers across WQAD News 8 and WSPA 7NEWS for everything. ❤️
