Hello everyone! Whew! Life has been a whirlwind but I believe I am on the right path. I truly love being back here in Manistique. It's familiar and cozy. Being with my mom has been wonderful and uplifting. We have celebrated, cried, laughed, healed and bonded. Much needed and I'm so grateful for this time with her ❤️ The people have been so welcoming and the scenery is just breathtaking. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Tennessee the views, the fur babies and all my people. So so much 💕 But.... Wow! I was only 12 when I left Michigan, and I realize now that I never had the opportunity to truly appreciate this little town for all it was/is. It's truly a hidden gem packed full of nostalgia for me. I know I've kinda gone hermit mode in my journey but I have been putting in a lot of work on me. I have also been planting roots. I'm starting to get back to work but changing the way I treat my body, mind and soul. Primarily working at the local animal shelter and will soon be grooming one day a week at a local pet resort. Slow but steady this girl is finding her light again.
