For those of you whose children have moved on to MMHS, we could really use your help filling positions at MMHS PTSA. Let me know if you would like to help with any of the following positions!

General Volunteer Commissioner, Teacher Appreciation Week, Monthly Teacher Appreciation, Parent/Teacher Conf. Dinners, or Health & Safety.

Thanks!

The Shakespeare team is looking for volunteers to sew costumes for an upcoming competition. There are 11 simple dresses with separate waistbands that need to be sewn. The fabric for each dress has been cut and marked, and is provided along with all the other notions in a "kit." If you are able to help, we would really appreciate it! Please contact Amy Lyman at [email protected] or Kim Horlacher at [email protected] to volunteer. Thank you!

If you picture the PTA as just a small crew of moms who meet now and then to plan bake sales, you may be in for a big surprise. The Parent Teacher Association, or PTA, is a huge and very influential nationwide organization with state and local affiliates throughout the country that promotes parent involvement in the school. It is also a powerful lobbying organization in state legislatures and in Washington, D.C., advocating on behalf of students and schools.
