Dandelions International Play Group 2023-2024 💕

When we moved to Kansas last summer I was pretty sad and missing Europe a ton. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with myself either. Would I homeschool LB? Would I go back to teaching? Would I start Dandelions again?
I prayed and felt the Lord telling me to just make myself available. Not to make plans for myself, but wait to see what He would do.
About a month later I met my new neighbors. All three families were international. Prior to arriving at Leavenworth, I did not even know there would be international families here. I learned that the international spouses were expected to attend English language class off post twice per week. There was no childcare provided. I told my neighbor to bring her son to my house. Later, I discovered a girl in LB's afternoon preschool class needed to be watched also. Of course, I said she should come too. Well, when I told her mom she was welcome to come to my house, her mom explained there were actually five families looking for childcare.
God brought Europe to me. I had missed it so much, and he brought it back to me.
I ended up having "dandelions" from Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Kosovo, Czech, and the Netherlands at my house twice a week for the last year.
We enjoyed so many fun lessons together, it was such a special season.
Today we said goodbye, but I will treasure this sweet gift from God always.
