Papilio Glaucus
The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, is one of the most recognizable species of butterfly native to Eastern North America. Their wingspan ranges from 3.1 to 5.5 inches. They can be found in anywhere in the South East and as far North as Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. This butterfly is a male with its four black "tiger stripes" on each forewing. Females are dimorphic and can be either yellow or black. Yellow females will have similar "tiger stripes" but they will have a band of blue spots on their hindwing.
