We want to wish everyone a happy new year and share some exciting updates!

We are going to be officially relaunching Portland Arcade in the coming months (stay tuned for updates). We started out in 2013 as an arcade party venue in South Portland Maine where you could rent out the arcade for your event.

In 2025 we a flipping the script and we are rebranding as a mobile service rather than a brick and mortar location. So instead of going to the arcade to hold your event the arcade will come to you!

This new service is for events where you need to entertaining large groups that range from dozens to thousands of people. We set up the arcade at your location and staff the event with attendants and service technicians to ensure smooth operation of our vintage and antique machines.

This service is perfect for corporate team building, weddings, music festivals, Comic-Con’s, trade shows, movie premieres, grand openings, cosplay events and really anywhere large groups of all ages are looking for a good time. We also plan to host some pop-up events so stay tuned!

Our machines are free of gratuitous violence and are appropriate for all ages. The majority of our machines are from the 1980s with some machines from the 1970s through the 1950s mixed in to give the collection that classic beachside arcade feel. As these types of locations were often community staples for decades and would always have the best selection of games.

Here are some pictures of a few recent events we attended that were huge hits!

We would love to hear what your favorite classic arcade titles are!

P.S. we are always looking to buy old machines and parts in ANY condition!

Join us April 27th and 28th at the Portland Expo Building for the 3rd Annual Maine Cosplay Extravaganza as we travel back in time to the 80s when games like Donkey Kong and Centipede ruled the arcade.

We will be bringing 18 classic arcade games all set to free play and all from 1984 or older vintage!

We will have challenges to win prizes and on day 2 we will rotate in some new game titles!

If you thought last year was epic just wait until you see what we have in store this year!

Get ready to take classic arcade pictures in character and play the classics just like in stranger things.

See you all there!
