Set up with from 10-3pm today (4/26)

Makers Market today (3/29) 10-3:00
Working through some growing pains with the improved set up, but very happy with it over all.
*Made all the walls fold
*displaying only the small versions of the prints for more wall space
*showing more originals (which take the most time)
*new signage all around
Went from a 45min set up to a couple hours. Need to optimize again. Fail Forward!
PSA for other illustrators and commercial artists. Even some Art Markets have trouble understanding what ‘fine art’ is. All because you’ve found a way to make art affordable for the masses doesn’t mean you’re not a ‘fine artist’. All because you’ve found a way to make a living doing what you love doesn’t mean you’re not a ‘fine artist’.
So, if painting is ‘fine art’ and all your paintings have sold, and all you have left to fill out a tent is prints, stickers, cards, and magnets of the original painting… now your not a ‘fine artist’? 🤔
Also, digital painting isn’t ’fine art’? Why? Same process, different tools. Who the f*ck is defining this sh*t? Get over yourself.
Is defining a painting (digital or traditional) as an illustration all of a sudden a trigger word?
Sometimes, when you discover ways to succeed, others get jealous and want find bu****it reasons to bring you down so they can feel better about themselves.
Yeah-yeah, boohoo, call the wahhhmbulance, I get it, let me vent, rant over.
