Voice Lessons/Vocal Coaching

This was part of a skit I did with my kids when they were young. I can't remember if we were singing or not, but if so, my youngest, Jon, in the middle wouldn't have been too keen on it. He's now an engineer and loves the predictability of math vs. music- haha! However, the ham in the back, Grant, now has his own cover band named "Shuffle" and they play for community events as well as private events for businesses and weddings etc. I will argue they are one of the best cover bands in Utah!

I found this old photo of my daughter, Katie Matheson, singing with her school choir. She was one of my early voice students and eventually graduated from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ in Vocal Performance with a promising career in opera. Though she was greatly encouraged to go for it by a nationally renowned tenor at the time, she eventually found a better fit using her voice to advocate for the public and now works for the Salt Lake City Mayors office. I am so proud of her!
