Help! my golden/chow was shaved

Just to clear this up beforehand, no he wasnt matted. We went to a new groomers, and told them to trim down the back of his legs. And somehow i guess they thought we said shave him down? I’m so worried his hair wont grow back the same. I’m absolutely devastated and not sure where to go from here. Any advice on how to help would be appreciated.
