Just rebuilt and serviced this very nice 130 ish year old French movement for a happy customer with lantern gears instead of spur gears. Proof our US methods of using lanterns can last as long as much more expensive machined gearing. Turned out very well with a lot of TLC. It was abused and looks like it hadn't ever been serviced. I wouldn't give up on it though. Now it has a chance at a new long life here in the US.

Just finished up a Seth Thomas Shasta. Looks and runs great. I do custom restorations like this where I'll take your clock-in make it look like this if you want. .
