Design Octaves - Reaction Injection Molding

Design Octaves, an established Plastics Manufacturing Company in Santa Cruz County has immediate openings for Production Workers. We are a supplier of custom high-quality enclosures to many of the leading medical and lab device companies. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified and have an excellent Quality Management System in place.

Full Time, 40 hours per week position with full benefits including medical/dental/vision, vacation, holidays, 401K.

Duties:
Follow work instructions to deflash, sandblast, prep or sand parts to meet specifications.
Follow directions of Department Leader.
Understand and use E2 to enter required job information.
Follow Company and Department safety rules.
Assist in different departments when required.

Requirements:
Able to read and write and have good oral communication skills.
Be proficient at basic math and be able to use a calculator.
Be familiar with basic hand tools.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to do repetitive work.

Not Required but Desirable:
Previous manufacturing experience.
Light maintenance experience.

This morning we had the these outstanding 7th to 9th grade students visit Design Octaves for a tour. They are participating in a summer engineering program at Cabrillo College. They asked a lot of great questions. It was nice to see such a nice bunch of sharp and polite future engineers!!
